Had 2 months and it's 80 degrees in my 200 square foot basement room. Remote and unit set at 60 cool high, shuts off dosnt seem to recognize what setting its on. You would think a product name Frigid Air would produce cold air. Ironic you have to leave specific username to post a review shady...

Older window unit had to be retired. Myself being older and retired made handling the window unit no longer possible. This portable unit is working out great on all accounts. No heavy lifting and works well to cool the entire area. Very pleased and looking forward to less hassle with installation/removal.

The system is very easy to set up, it works great. It is a little loud, make sure you have a big container to collect the water coming out from the machine, the hotter the temp. the more water coming out. Easy to move the machine from one room to the other. Great product.

My Central air conditioner went out in August in VA and this portable frigidair air conditioner was an absolute lifesaver! Easy to move from room to room when needed and kept me and my pets from overheating. I love that I was able to set timers for it to turn on/off while I was at work and I can even start it from anywhere using the app.

11 months Max!

Make sure you register this for the 1 year warranty! I am on my 2nd one and they DO NOT LAST!! 11 months max on this. The 1st one the condenser stopped running, now on my 2nd (replacement) one just decide to not keep cold and now forms ice every time I try to use it. Now it's hot & humid in my bedroom, and I have wait to be approved for another one under warranty which will take at least another week! We love to sleep in a cold room, and it just dies before we can finish a season of heat & humidity.

I especially like the more compact size of this unit. The remote is good, and I appreciate the controls on top which are very easy to see and adjust. I put this in a loft bedroom and it cools it very efficiently, and I was surprised to see that it was actually able to cool the downstairs area too our recent lengthy heat wave. I've had several similar ACs over the years, but this one is my favorite.

It is quiet and sleek. It definitely cools down my space of 350 sq feet but with the help of two fans to help push the air around. I am on a 2nd floor apt in SoCal where the heat is dry and I need to turn on the AC before it gets too hot. It does cool the place down to an extent but it does not work as well as a window unit. Unfortunately my building prohibited window units. If you have a room of 300+ square feet, size up. I would want to return the unit and try the bigger one but the cost is too high, plus the 10% restocking fee and the hassel of taking it to UPS.

Bought this to help cool my 700 square foot garage, especially the section I work out in. I didn't expect too much, but it certainly outperformed my expectations! Now my workouts are much cooler. While it will not cool the entire 3 car garage, it definitely keeps my workout area much cooler. The phone app is perfection! I use the scheduler to turn the unit on an hour or so before my workout.I wish the provided window vent had been a little longer but was able to buy another one that fit my larger window. Also, vent hose insulation would be a benefit, as the exhaust hose gets very hot, so if you have it stretched out too far, it is a definite heat source.I would definitely buy this again.

Plain and simply the best portable AC unit I™€™ve ever owned. I live in LA and we don™€™t have central air, and get tons of sunlight, so our apt will get upwards to 90 degrees internal. Within 1-2 hours my bedroom is absolutely freezing and helps me sleep. It™€™s incredibly tech friendly too. I downloaded the Frigidaire app and linked it to my Wi-Fi. I can actually set tasks through the app and turn it on an hour before i get home, and have it shut off in the middle of the night when i get too cold lol. I just received my device so it is brand new. It is making a weird noise from the back side so I might have that checked out, otherwise totally happy with it.

After years of living in the interior of BC and just outside of the Kelowna area, the summers are definitely getting hotter. At our elevation we run 5 or so degrees cooler than Kelowna. But it has gotten too warm to sleep comfortably at night. We purchased three of these units from Trail Appliances in Kelowna and put in them in the bedrooms. I am the only one to download the app. I love being able to turn it on using the app. It's convenient, I don't have to run up the stairs, or be home to get the bedroom cool before we need it. My only complaint is the noise, it's tolerable and you get used to it. It's understandable as compressors have to run to chill the air. It does a good job of keeping the temperature regulated. Easy to use and program, the remote is handy but the app wins it for me. I do wish in fan mode it would draw the air from the outside, that would be nice as the mountain air is cooler in the morning and so fresh. You can't open the window unless you take the window mount for the hose off on one side. It's portable for a reason. I would still recommend these units as they work and keep the room at the temperature you set it at. No more sleepless nights tossing and turning due to the heat.
