I have a Friedrich 8000 BTU air conditioner in-wall in my bedroom which I bought 2 months ago and the compressor gave out. Since it was the middle of summer we needed a small air conditioner that would get us by until our Friedrich was repaired. Got this little unit and installed in in the window, which was quick and easy. I was impressed by the unit's ability to quickly cool down our 12 x 12 foot bedroom and it runs quietly too. The Friedrich is being returned today, but I think I'll keep the Frigidaire in the window and use it instead. I'm very pleased with it's operation, efficiency and simple to use. I think I may have to switch to Frigidaire and replace all the other Friedrich units that I have.

I really like this air conditioner. The one thing I've noticed is that if the fan is blowing for a while, and I turn off the unit, when I turn it back on, and makes some loud grinding sounds come so I have to turn the unit off again and turn it back on and then the fan seems fine. Other than that it works great!

So far so good. My only issue is I bought a brand new air conditioner but when I got it, it was two years old. The remote didn™™t work because the batteries were old. When I purchased it, I expected to get a model that was made this year.

Because of physical limitations, I needed a light (<40 lbs) a/c that was easy to install. This unit satisfied my criteria and was highly rated by others. I use it to cool a bedroom, so it being relatively quiet, even in ™ECO™ mode when the compressor cuts off and on, is an added benefit.

!! BUYER BEWARE !!Bought this unit solely for its "connected" capability as shown online, only to find out this is not true and it has no such capability. Spent well over an hour chatting with multiple representatives who refuse to own up to their mistake and make it right. Only thing they want to do is for me to return it (i do not even have the packaging anymore) and have me pay a 10% restocking fee! Will never be purchasing another item from this company. Horrible customer service that won't own up to or make right their mistake!

In love with my AC unit, love the fact that it hits 60 degrees very fast and makes me feel the chilly nights fast that aid me to go to sleep much faster. I myself have a broken ceiling fan so with this unit helps me so much to fall asleep as I cannot for the life of me fall asleep hot. I've had it for just about a month so I can't speak of long term performance. I have had Frigidaire windows a/c in the past, and my husband is using it and it is over 20 years old. My ONLY inconvenience (not a complaint) is that I can't read the remote or the print on the unit at night and am, nightly, using my flashlight work the unit. I do however like that the remote is a real one that uses non-watch batteries (ie has some bulk to it) and has real buttons, not those cheap pop-it buttons.
