Not compatible with most modern faucets

I am extremely disappointed with this dishwasher. The biggest issue is that it is marketed as a portable dishwasher, yet it is only compatible with a very limited range of faucets. Like many newer homes, my kitchen has a pull-down faucet, and there is no way to connect the included adapter. Whirlpool offers no practical solution for modern pull-down faucets.
I spent hours researching adapters, comparing thread sizes, and trying to find a workaround. I purchased additional parts, searched multiple hardware stores, and still could not get the dishwasher connected to my kitchen sink. I even contacted Whirlpool for assistance. Even my basement utility sink required special adapters because the included connection only fits certain faucet threads.
After all of that, I still cannot use this dishwasher where it belongs™"in my kitchen. Instead, I now have to carry dirty dishes down to my basement every time I want to run it. That completely defeats the purpose of buying a portable dishwasher.
The dishwasher itself may clean dishes well, but Whirlpool's outdated faucet connection design makes it incompatible with many modern homes. If you have a pull-down, pull-out, or other nonstandard faucet, assume this dishwasher will not work without a frustrating amount of trial and error. I would not have purchased this model had I known how difficult it would be to connect.

Very disappointed in Whirlpool with my portable dishwasher purchased in 2020. I'm in Canada, Quebec City and to support my American colleagues I bought this heavy duty portable dishwasher back then. One of the wheels recently came off. A repairman came today in Quebec City and told me that the wheels are fine, it's that there was a very poor soldering job done at the base of the machine to hold the caster wheels. He cannot fix it.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. As of next month we've had this machine for 3 years. We had it installed - with the hose kit - by the appliance shop we bought it from. I'm the first 12 months we had to have them out 5 times to service the machine. It wouldn't drain - twice. It totally stopped, none of the panel buttons would come on. They replaced a power connection because it was vibrating loose. Second time, they removed the plug and hardwired it. Honestly, I forget the last one. Now, about 6 months ago it's developed a fault where none of the spray cycle work - the machine fills, sits silent, then empties through the normal wall cycle. Call for repair again - and it would fine. For a while it would work a few days, then do the same thing. Now, it just never washes. Tech tells us it needs a new mirror, the quite is over $700. For an $1100 machine.
No thanks.

So far, the dishwasher has been working well. I had the very same dishwasher prior to this one. It broke and Whirlpool did an amazing job taking care of me, replacing the dishwasher for a brand new one and hauling away the old one. From now on, I'm only purchasing Whirlpool appliances because I know that they have my back and they stand behind their products and customer satisfaction.

Arrived filled with ice and mold on the filter, also some unspecified sediment on the other larger sieve like filter. Customer service was not helpful and I had to file a BBB complaint to get the bare minimum of service, as service wanted to charge me again while I wait 30 days to get my money back.
This has made me hesitant to consider whirlpool products in the future, and honestly the quality of this even feels worse than the old model I had for 13 years. It feels so much lighter, less sturdy.They are now sending a replacement, but did not throw in anything for my inconvenience, which now will be over 2 months without a working appliance, at least. Absolutely unacceptable.

It™™s less than a month old, it fills with some water after the pre wash and after the main wash the pump try™™s to run but does nothing. This can™™t be normal operation. The pre wash main wash and rinse work well. Trying get get hold of someone is impossible to ask if this is normal. Beyond frustrating!!!!

Bought this portable dish washer, 2 weeks ago. and the motor when washing starts a stops multiple time. in a wash cycle. Contacted Whirlpool and they said they would send out a repairman the next day. I did hear from a mobile repair man that next day. And if I could send him the make and model and he would be out the first of the week. Haven't heard from him scenes Don't know what happen.

This dishwasher has changed my life. It is exactly what I needed. It has no unnecessary features or Wi-Fi connectivity, just a very functional dishwasher if it gets dishes clean and is mobile, so it can be moved to different parts of the kitchen is necessary. There is no space in my countertops for a dishwasher and I was starting to be afraid that I would never be able to have one, but this dishwasher has saved me from the fate of hand washing dishes for the rest of my life.

Although this machine cleans well, I™™m disappointed in it. It is very loud, the racks don™™t operate smoothly, the door doesnt open/close with ease. Also, the silverware tray does not have a large spot of small items such as a salad dressing holder, bottle lids etc

I finally got fed up enough with my tiny kitchen, where I don't have enough counter space to fit all of my dishes after cooking a meal. I bought this about a month ago, and I am so happy that I finally did it!! The faucet adapter was extremely easy to install (if you read the directions), and the unit is much larger than I anticipated. I finally have enough space to clean my large pots and pans all at once, and the wash quality is superb. My water source is a well with a relatively high amount of iron, so I was concerned about how that would impact the wash quality. So far, I have not seen any negative impact on the washes, and my glassware is coming out nearly spotless. I am using the recommended cleaner brand from the manual, and the coupons provided were a big help in getting me started. I wish I had purchases this a year ago, but hey, nobody is having a good time with their finances lately. 100% worth it!

Disappointed that the dishwasher doesn™™t dry the bottom of the glasses, nor does it dry the inside walls or door. The inside stays wet for days if not wiped down after each use. My previous 30 year old dishwasher dried everything and didn™™t require the use of jet dry. I hope you publish this as it may help someone from the same issue.

I have been using this dishwasher for a month now and it is working just fine. Quiet considering it is a portable dish washer. Love the interior because it doesn't have a pop up central arm so there is room to place large pots in the bottom. I only scrape and load (no rinsing) and the machine handles the cleaning. Filter is easy to remove and rinse out.

Bought this dishwasher and the delivery people mishandled it and the top was warped and the door and side was not in alinement. Washed the dishes and the inside, racks and utensils were wet. Got a new one and the door is not in alinement and we washed the dishes and the racks, inside and utensils are wet.

when product delivered this product in the box the inside was soaking wet. cleans well but dishes not totally dry at end of cycle. turned up drying aid knob from factory setting to half way and still moisture on the door .most of my appliances are whirlpool / amana family . with this purchase i am not sure if i will purchase any more of your products.

I bought this portable, roll-up-to-the-kitchen-sink dishwasher to replace a Maytag portable dishwasher I'd had for almost 25 years that finally gave up the ghost. This supposedly "new" model doesn't have nearly as many basic features as the Maytag portable dishwasher it replaced, but most importantly, the drain pump causes so much water pressure to build up in my pipes that my dependable Delta kitchen faucet has begun spewing water horizontally from the faucet base (nowhere near where the dishwasher connects to the end of the faucet spout) every time the dishwasher is hooked up. The pressure has also caused two PVC elbow joints in my kitchen drain line to leak in my basement. This only happens when the dishwasher is running. My old portable dishwasher never caused a leak anywhere! On top of that: 1) there is no way to tell where the cycle is in its progress in case you want to advance it faster or go back and do another rinse or just see how much time is left; 2) there is no way to stop the dishwasher mid-cycle to add or remove a dish; 3) this dishwasher is slightly smaller than the old one (even though the advertised dimensions were the same), so I can't load nearly as many dishes in it after a dinner party; 4) the interior is all plastic instead of the (very durable) coated stainless steel of the old one; and 5) the silverware basket is so short that knives and other utensils won't stand up properly, all features I had and used regularly on my previous dishwasher. I basically paid $900 for a dishwasher that has none of the standard features that a dishwasher should have. Fortunately, I read previous reviews which recommended saving the silverware basket from my old dishwasher, which I did. But there is no way to "fix" the lack of other features, plus remedy the damage this dishwasher has done to my pipes and faucet. I am profoundly disappointed. The fact that it does do a great job of getting my dishes both clean and dry is little consolation.

I am horrified by this new dishwasher and will be returning it as soon as the plumber comes out to fix the damage it caused and tells me what my next steps should be. The drain pump exerts so much pressure when it forces water out of the dishwasher and into my kitchen sink via the kitchen faucet spout (it's a rollup dishwasher that connects to the kitchen faucet) that it caused my Delta faucet to spring a leak and spew water at the base of the faucet horizontally beyond the sink and out onto the kitchen floor, and also caused two elbow joints in my PVC drainpipe in the basement to leak (only when the dishwasher is draining and forcefully pumping water out of the dishwasher). Whirlpool knows this is a roll-up model that will be hooked to a kitchen faucet, so water pressure should have been taken into consideration when it was designed. On top of that, the silverware basket is too shallow to contain silverware vertically. On top of that, I paid almost $900 for this model only to discover that it does not have several standard features that built-in Whirlpool models have, as described in the manual. I called Whirlpool to ask how to access these features, only to be told that my model doesn't come with them -- for $900!! On top of that, unlike previous dishwashers I've owned, you can't open this dishwasher mid-cycle to add or remove a dish without (a lot of) water spilling out both sides of the door and flooding the floor. It gets dishes rally clean, but that is small comfort with all the problems and is not worth keeping due to the poor design and lack of standard features available on built-in models of the same price.

I bought this dishwasher and it had the wrong adapter for my faucet. I tried for over 4 hours to speak with someone at whirlpool to get some guidance and never did get anyone to help. All automated AI and then hold.
Also, I have not gotten it to dry the dishes even though I spent the money to have a dishwasher with a drying feature.
So very very disappointed in this product.

I purchased this for an apartment and it's absolutely beautiful. It's full size but still fits nicely without taking up too much space. Love the woodgrain top to use for extra storage. It runs quietly and dishes are spotless when done. Would highly recommend this portable dishwasher.

After waiting over a month to get the same dishwasher from another company I was told by them that it still wasn't going to be here until after Christmas. I was extremally disappointed and that's when I came across a store that I hadn't heard of before. They were so nice to me and had just what I wanted, the same dishwasher as the one I had before. I had my new dish washer form them in two days. It had no damage; the color was right, and it works like a charm. There were only two things that I didn't like about this new one. The silverware basket was much smaller than the one in my old dishwasher and there were no clips on the top rack to hold small plastic lids from falling down. I just took the clips and silverware basket from my old washer and put them in my new one. They all fit perfectly, and I haven't had a problem with doing that. The hose attachment for the water line slips right on and off without and leaks, its much quieter than my old one and most importantly, everything I've put in it has come out clean.

We bought this appliance a month ago and when we used it the first time we ended up with water on the floor because the start up instructions that came with the dishwasher were not very clear on how to run it for the first time. The instructions sent with the appliance need to specify the steps to run it for the first time without having to down load something off the internet.Once we did get the instructions off the internet we were able to run it without any problem. The hose doesn't come out or goes back in without a struggle. It does do a great job cleaning the dishes. Love the wood top. Also, the coupons sent with the dishwasher for Finish Detergent & Rinse aid expired on 7/28/24 when we just got the dishwasher in Nov.

This is the first dishwasher I have owned and works exceptionally well (is quiet and washes well) when it works. I have had to replace the circulation pump three times in five years, all being OEM parts direct from Whirlpool. I have a couple of new backup pumps from eBay from a parts dealer purchased for $44 each just in case the next one goes.
