Clothes are ALWAYS Damp!

I am very unhappy with this Washer/Dryer set. They look nice and clean but they aren't great. I am not sure how Whirlpool is charging more than $1k for each of them. The dryer never dries everything EVER. The only way to get even a half load completely dry is to run it on Bulky/Timed for 2:30 TWICE. That's 5 hours to dry 1/2 load with heat settings up all the way. The amount of energy these things take up is nuts. Therefore, I am only doing laundry once every couple of weeks because otherwise its a hassle. The lint trap is virtually impossible to keep clean. I empty it after I empty the dryer after every load, and it feels like I have to constantly stick a lint brush in there as deep as it will go in order to get the lint out. Last thing I need is a fire on my hands. You pull the lint screen out and it's got lint trapped on there but even when it's not completely full of lint there's always long weird strings of lint that you have to like keep pulling out. So I bought one of those dryer lint cleaning kits and it doesn't help much. Oh I have way more to say about the washing machine....UGH I sort of wish they would just break down so I can toss them and buy something else.

Broke down after two months

After two months of regular household use the dryer won't start. Whirlpool indicated that the soonest they could send a repair tech would be in eight days. There is no guaranty that the dryer will actually get repaired at that time, only that a technician is scheduled to arrive. So I paid for a dryer that does not work and no realistic timeline of when, if ever, it will be operational.

Absolutely done buying Whirlpool. Took six months of multiple visits by appliance repair before they finally honored the warranty and sent a new dryer. The brand new dryer died on the first load. Brand new Dryer never worked

I actually can™€™t even give it 1 star. The Dryer never worked. After waiting almost 4 weeks for the dryer to arrive after it was already supposed to be installed and working. It was delivered. It never turned on. The expert delivery people from Whirlpool said it was likely a breaker. The builder confirmed it was not a breaker. 2 electricians confirmed it was not the electricity and all power was getting there correctly. I waited another week for another repairman to come out and confirm it was faulty dryer, the control panel / computer and maybe even a second component. I now have to wait at least 10 days for the new parts to come in. S I™€™m sitting for almost 6 weeks post closing on my house with still no working dryer and no sense of urgency to fix from Whirlpool. Not a good customer experience at all!

Awful. This dryer came with our new home purchase. We've had issues from the get go. It wasn't drying clothes. It shuts off after 10 minutes w/o drying clothes. Whirlpool technician (after 2 weeks of waiting) finally came out and said it was all working fine and that we should just turn off the EcoBoost "feature" every single time we use the dryer. Really? A "feature" that makes your dryer turn off before clothes are remotely dry? And then no way to permanently turn it off?

Giving this a 1! We bought this in April 2020. We had our last set for almost 14 years. So we are 5 years into this set. In November 2024 the entire electric board/ panel died and we had to replace it. Cost us $300. Well not even 6months later it died again. WTF! We are not going to keep spending $300 every time. So here we are on Memorial Day weekend shopping for a new dryer b/c I have laundry stacked up everywhere. We spent a lot of money to have these fancy matching washer and dryer set and now we will have a mismatched set b/c I won't spend $300 replacing the same part twice. Going to find a different brand now. Sad Whirlpool let us down. I even paid for extra warranties but of course they all expired now. I'm over it.

I have had this dryer for over a month and am so disappointed with it. The drying sensor does not work and therefore not matter what you choose I always have to add more time. I have tried all kind of different settings and nothing gets dry enough. I wish I had kept my old dryer but unfortunately it needed costly repairs.

I like the size of the drum but unfortunately that is about the best thing with my new dryer. I am disappointed in the time it takes to dry my clothes and the fact that there is no light. The dryness setting does not work very well and that's disappointing because I have to babysit the dryer. Very rarely does my load dry all the way and that means returning the clothes back for more time on the timed drying. Seems like a waste of time. My previous whirlpool dryer was so much better.

It drys the items well but often requires the cycle to be run twice because the others are still damp. Repair has not improved the situation. Overall I'm disappointed with the appliance.

DRYER RUNS TOO HOT and I can't return it.

I am so furious at Whirlpool. My terrific previous Whirlpool front load dryer lasted 26 years until the control board went kaput. Clothes dried properly at each Low, Medium, or High setting with no venting issue. I wish now I paid to fix the old one fixed instead of purchasing WED 5720RW0 last month. I realized that the LOW temp setting was running very hot and the clothes were coming out HOT. I had to keep checking on the dryness level because the machine continued to run even though the clothes were dry. A full load set on LOW was completely dry in 20 minutes, cooking my clothing. When the service company arrived, at my insistence he checked the temperature when the dryer was on. Low range ran up to 220º. Low should be 125º average/High should be 140º! The reason was 'poor air flow' and yet this never occurred before with my previous 2 Whirlpool Duet machines. Tech explained I had to replace my vent system as the air flow is not as efficient in the new dryers.
